Framing: I took this picture of my best friend Angelia because she is meaningful to me. She used her hands to frame her face. This was the only portrait shot I took and I think that it's my favorite picture because it turned out very good and I wish that I did more HDRs using people.

Asymmetrical Balance: I took this photo because one of my moms favorite things to do is to garden and she was very excited that she was able to grow a watermelon this year. This photo shows good asymmetrical balance because there is a lot of objects on the right side then on the left side it's just my driveway and some grass.

Symmetrical Balance: I took this picture because one of my favorite places in my house is my dinning rooms because the windows are very pretty and a lot of light when the sun sets is always coming in through them. This photo shows good symmetrical balance because everything is very even on both sides including the candles on the window seal and the chair is also centered.

Leading Lines: I took this photo because I have been playing soccer since when I was 4 or 5 and I spend a lot of my time playing. It is a little hard to tell, but I chose this picture for leading lines because in the concrete there is a crack that leads up to the soccer ball.

Perspective: I really like this picture because my dog is my favorite thing in the world. I chose this picture as a different perspective because the picture is not straight and I am showing him from the side of the window coming out of the curtains. I thought it would make a good picture because my dog is really wild and the only time he is completely still is when he waits by the window for mom and dad to come home.

Texture: I enjoy this picture because I really like the bright colors and how vivid the sky and grass look. Also, I like how the tree is only in one thirds of the photo. But, this is meaningful to me because I walk down this hill everyday after school when I get off my bus to get to my house. It was hard to involve this picture into this project but I wanted to since I think it turned out nice, so I used it for texture because I think there is cool texture in the trees bark.
Which picture goes with...
ReplyDeleteSymmetrical balance Picture of the windows
Repetition / pattern Picture of the tree and rocks around it
Different point of view / perspective Picture of the dog resting its head on the windowsill and the curtain in front
Asymmetrical balance Picture of the watermelon in sitting on brick/rocks.
Framing Picture of girl holding hands in front of face
Lines (leading, diagonal, horizontal, vertical) Picture of soccer ball
Which photo has the best composition? Why?
I think that the picture of the soccer ball has the best composition because the ropes of the soccer net really leads the eyes to the yellow soccer ball in the middle.
Which photo would you hang on your wall? Why?
I would hang the picture of the dog resting its head on the windowsill in my room because I like the way the camera was angled while the picture was taken. I also like how it really brings out the color of the curtain and the fur of the dog.
Which photo could use a little work? What needs done? (composition/lighting/cropping/camera angle/camera technique)
I think the picture of the tree with the rocks around it could use some work by trying to get rid of ghost because it looked like the camera was moved a little while the picture was being taken.
When looking at the entire set of images what do they say about the photographer? Can you determine anything about the person by looking at their photos? Do they tell a story or are they just a collection of images?
I’d say that the photographer plays soccer, loves to be outdoors, loves to hang out with friends, and loves animals. Some of the pictures tell a story to me, like the picture of the dog. That picture tells me that the photographer loves animals.
